What it takes to haul on TankWorldWide

We keep the bar high on purpose. Shippers pay more for verified carriers, and verified carriers get first look at the leads on their lanes.

Approval requirements

Active MC & DOT authority

Interstate operating authority in active status with no out-of-service order. We verify against FMCSA records at application and re-check monthly.

Cargo insurance on file

$100,000 minimum for open carriers, $250,000 for enclosed. TankWorldWide must be listed as a certificate holder so we receive expiration notices.

Liability coverage

$750,000 minimum auto liability ($1,000,000 for enclosed and high-value work), plus workers' comp where your state requires it.

Satisfactory safety record

No unsatisfactory FMCSA safety rating and no pattern of unresolved cargo claims. Fresh authority is welcome — we score performance, not tenure.

Marketplace conduct

Honor quoted prices, upload BOL and condition photos at pickup and delivery, and update milestones. Double-brokering a load is an immediate permanent removal.

How onboarding works

  1. 1Apply with your MC number, equipment type, and preferred lanes.
  2. 2Upload your certificate of insurance and W-9.
  3. 3We verify authority, insurance, and safety data automatically.
  4. 4Approved carriers get wallet access and start claiming leads on their lanes.

Carrier FAQ

How long does carrier approval take?

Most applications are reviewed within one business day once your certificate of insurance and MC authority are on file. Incomplete documents are the only common delay.

Do I need my own MC number?

Yes. TankWorldWide only dispatches to carriers with their own active FMCSA operating authority. We do not accept carriers running under someone else's authority.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing to apply or maintain a profile. You only pay for the leads you choose to claim, and disputed bad leads are refunded to your wallet.
