Terms of service
These terms govern use of the TankWorldWide marketplace by shippers, carriers, dealers and visitors.
Broker status disclosure
TankWorldWide is a booking agent, not a motor carrier and not a licensed property broker. Shipments are arranged under the authority of a licensed broker of record; our authority partner is being finalised and bookings are not being accepted yet. TankWorldWide does not own trucks, employ drivers, or take custody of your vehicle or equipment.
Authority partner pending. Until a broker of record is named here, this site does not accept bookings or arrange transportation for compensation.
1. What TankWorldWide is — agent of a licensed broker
TankWorldWide is a booking agent. We are NOT a motor carrier and we are NOT the licensed property broker of record. We operate under the brokerage authority of our licensed broker of record, and every shipment arranged through this site is placed under that authority.
Our authority partner is being finalised. Until a broker of record is named on our broker authority page, this site does not accept bookings or arrange transportation for compensation.
We do not own trucks, employ drivers, operate trailers, or take custody of your vehicle or equipment at any time. The independent, FMCSA-authorized motor carrier assigned to your shipment performs the transportation and holds the cargo and liability insurance that covers your property in transit. The Bill of Lading is a contract between you and that carrier; TankWorldWide is not a party to it. Amounts you pay consist of the carrier's transportation charge plus the brokerage fee for arranging and managing the shipment, which is shared between the broker of record and TankWorldWide as its agent.
2. Quotes and the Price Lock Guarantee
Instant quotes are estimates generated from route distance, vehicle size, service tier, seasonality and current lane capacity. A quote becomes a locked price when you book and a carrier is assigned. Once locked, TankWorldWide does not re-bid your vehicle at a higher rate.
A locked price can change only if the shipment details change — a different vehicle, a vehicle that is inoperable but was quoted as running, added personal items above the stated weight allowance, or a pickup or delivery location materially different from the ZIP codes you provided.
3. Booking, deposits and payment
A deposit reserves your slot with the assigned carrier and is charged at booking. The remaining balance is due to the carrier at delivery unless otherwise stated on your shipment page. Payments are processed by Stripe; TankWorldWide does not store full card numbers.
You may cancel or reschedule without penalty before the carrier is dispatched to your vehicle. After dispatch, the deposit may be retained to cover the carrier's committed capacity and deadhead miles.
4. Your obligations as a shipper
You must be the owner of the vehicle or authorised to ship it. The vehicle must be described accurately, have no more than a quarter tank of fuel, be free of leaks that would endanger other vehicles on the trailer, and be available at the agreed pickup window. Personal items left in the vehicle are not insured unless expressly agreed in writing.
5. Carrier obligations
Carriers must maintain active operating authority and valid cargo and liability insurance at all times. Expired insurance automatically blocks a carrier from receiving new leads. Carriers must complete a digital Bill of Lading with condition photos at both pickup and delivery, honour the price they accepted, and must not re-broker a load accepted on TankWorldWide to another carrier without written authorisation. Double-brokering is grounds for immediate removal and forfeiture of wallet credits.
6. Lead credits and carrier billing
Carriers purchase credits that are spent to unlock customer leads. Credits are non-refundable and have no cash value, except where a lead is successfully disputed as invalid — for example a disconnected number, a duplicate, or a vehicle that does not exist — in which case the credit is returned to the carrier wallet. Disputes must be filed within seven days of purchase.
7. Damage claims and our role as broker
Damage discovered at delivery must be noted on the delivery Bill of Lading before the driver leaves. Claims are filed from your shipment page with photos and are adjudicated against the assigned carrier's cargo policy.
Because we are the broker and not the carrier, liability for loss or damage in transit rests with the motor carrier that transported your property, under its own cargo policy and applicable federal law. TankWorldWide facilitates and documents the claim — supplying the signed Bill of Lading, condition photos and timestamps and pressing for a written decision — but the carrier's insurer is the payer of record.
Before pickup you may request the assigned carrier's legal name, MC and USDOT numbers, and certificate of insurance, and we will provide them.
8. Prohibited use
Do not use TankWorldWide to arrange transport of stolen vehicles, to launder funds, to scrape or resell platform data, to submit fake leads or reviews, or to contact customers or carriers for purposes unrelated to a shipment. Accounts engaged in this are terminated without refund.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TankWorldWide's aggregate liability arising from your use of the platform is limited to the platform fees you paid on the shipment giving rise to the claim. TankWorldWide is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit, rental costs or missed appointments.
10. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which TankWorldWide maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes between you and TankWorldWide will first be raised in writing and negotiated in good faith for thirty days before any formal proceeding.
Claims for loss or damage to property in transit are governed by the applicable federal transportation rules and are brought against the motor carrier, not the broker. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have against the assigned carrier or against our surety bond.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves; material changes are announced in-app. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page.
